✨ Step 1: Dress Ordering & Timeline
Once you’ve chosen your gown, we’ll place your order with the designer. Wedding dresses are made just for you, which means it can take anywhere from 6 to 8 months for your dress to arrive. Don’t worry — this is completely normal!
👉 That’s why we recommend shopping at least 10–12 months before your wedding so you have plenty of time for ordering and alterations.

📦 Step 2: Dress Arrival & Try-On
When your gown arrives, MB Bride will contact you to schedule a try-on appointment. This is such a special moment because it’s the first time you’ll see your actual dress — not just the sample! 💕
At this appointment, you’ll also:
- Try on your dress with undergarments and shoes 👠
- Get a feel for how it fits
- Meet with our alterations team to plan your next steps
✂️ Step 3: Alterations
Almost every bride needs some adjustments to get the perfect fit! Our in-house seamstresses at MB Bride specialize in bridal gowns and will make sure your dress feels comfortable, secure, and tailored just for you.
Common alterations include:
- Hemming the bottom ✨
- Adjusting straps or sleeves
- Taking the bodice in or letting it out slightly
- Adding a bustle for your reception

While you’re waiting on alterations, it’s the perfect time to choose your finishing touches:

🎊 Step 5: Final Fitting & Pick-Up
About 2 weeks before your wedding, you’ll come in for your final fitting. This is when you’ll try on your gown one last time, with all alterations complete. Once everything is perfect, you’ll take your gown home — ready for the big day! 🥂
