So you’ve booked your bridal appointment—congrats! 🎉 Now you’re probably wondering… 

“What should I bring with me to my wedding dress appointment?” 

At MB Bride—Pennsylvania’s largest family-owned bridal salon, located in Greensburg, PA—we want your dress shopping experience to be joyful, relaxed, and memorable. Whether it’s your first stop or you’ve tried on a few already, here’s what to bring (and what to leave at home) to make the most of your appointment. 

✅ 1. A Few Trusted Guests 

We recommend bringing 2–4 supportive people who know your style, respect your opinions, and will celebrate with you when you say “yes!” 
Too many opinions can be overwhelming—so keep it intimate and positive.

👗 2. Proper Undergarments 

Bring or wear: 

• A strapless or convertible bra 

• Nude seamless underwear 

• Shapewear, if you plan to wear it on your wedding day (We have shapewear for purchase too!)

These help give you the best idea of how the dress will fit—and keep you feeling confident in the fitting room. 

👠 3. Shoes Similar to What You’ll Wear 

You don’t need your exact wedding shoes yet, but bringing a pair with a similar heel height can help you visualize the final look and get a feel for the hemline. (We also have heels for purchase!!)

📸 4. Inspiration Photos 

Pinterest boards, screenshots, designer names—bring anything that helps show your vision! Our experienced bridal consultants will use it as a jumping-off point to pull gowns that match your style and budget.

🧾 5. Your Wedding Details (If You Have Them) 

We love hearing the story of your day! If you know the venue, season, theme, or colors, it helps us recommend gowns that will fit the vibe of your wedding. 

Not sure yet? That’s okay, too—we’ll help you find a gown that inspires the rest! Sometimes trying on different styles can show what you like or dislike. Remember that even if you don’t love the look of a certain dress, it is still helping you learn what you want in a dress too!

💳 6. A Payment Method 

If you fall in love with a gown (and many brides do on their first visit!), you’ll want to be ready. At MB Bride, we require a deposit to place your gown order, and we also offer flexible payment plans for your convenience. 

🚫 What Not to Bring 

• Too many opinions – This is your moment. The right support matters. 

• Stress or pressure – You don’t need to make a decision that day (but you just might!)
